OUR WEDDING

Kyle and I got married in my parents backyard in Riverside, CA. Our wedding was very much a DIY and thrifting project with my mom and grandma. With three months to prepare we got to work. I designed and made my own wedding dress with the help of my grandma, we thrifted all our table decor, glasses, silverware, brass candlesticks and my mom and I sewed and dyed our napkins. They did come out pink rather than rust orange like we intended but at that point I didn't care much about how they looked, I was ready to marry the love of my life!

We had a beautiful intimate ceremony and reception with around 50 of our closest family and friends. Yes there were things I 100% forgot to do such as create a reception playlist and the wedding shoes I ordered arrived the day after but it was perfectly imperfect. I wouldn't have changed it, those are things I laugh at now, memories.

It was so special to be married in the backyard my bother and I grew up playing in. No wedding venue could bring the feel of nostalgia like getting ready in your family home. Sort of a last hoorah.
